Muscle Back Guarantee MUSCLE BACK GUARANTEE PROGRAM This program is for new clients of Dr. Myhal only, and features: 1) Discounted 3-month fitness center membership (for Metro Fitness non-members) A 3-month membership at Metro Fitness Center in Hilliard for $60.00. No initiation fee, no commitment beyond 90 days. 2) Waived Initiation Fee to upgrade to a regular membership If the client wishes to join the club after the 90-day
period, then the standard membership initiation fee ($69.00) is waived if the
membership is rolled over prior to the expiration of the original 90-day period
regardless of whether they continue training with me. 3. Guarantee If measurable progress1
is not achieved during the 12-week training period, the client is refunded 50%
of the total training fee paid over the 90-day trial period. At this point they
can, 1) walk away without any further obligation, or 2) purchase a regular club
membership (no initiation fee) and cease personal training with me. 4. Discounted Body
Composition Testing A 20% discount will be offered on Body Composition testing by Baseline Fitness during the 90 day period. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAM 1. An initial 20 - 30 minute consult with me is required prior to starting this program. There is no fee for this.
2. Clients must obtain a Bod Pod and photos from Baseline Fitness prior to beginning the program.
3.
Clients must be able to attend 3
training sessions (all major muscle groups) per week for the 12 week period. No
more than 4 sessions can be missed during the 12 week period. After the 12 week
period, if the client chooses to continue training, they may choose any training
format they desire (i.e., work with me once or twice a week and on their own
other days).
4. Clients must meet at least once with a licensed dietician to review their current dietary intake during the first two weeks of the program. I will then consult with the dietician to help optimize the program relative to one's individual metabolic needs. I can provide several professional referrals.
5. Clients must include at least 20 – 30 minutes of cardiovascular work 3 times per week and maintain a journal of this activity. I will provide an exercise prescription for this based on individual needs.
6.
Clients must obtain another Bod Pod
and photos from Baseline Fitness during the last week of the 90-day program. A mid-point Bod Pod is also recommended. 1MEASUREABLE
PROGRESS IS DEFINED AS ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1. An increase in lean muscle mass and/or decrease in fat mass as measured by the Bod Pod.
2. An increase in strength in any of the exercises routinely performed.
3. An increase in flexibility or balance as a function of training.
4. An increase in energy levels and/or functional aspects of daily living.
5.
A decrease or resolution of initial
functional decrements or muscle imbalances.
COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROGRAM Q. This seems like a lot of commitment to start a program? It is, however based on my years of experience in this business and what we know from studies on exercise behavior and compliance, in order to make a healthy change that is likely to persist long-term, all the components of the "Program Requirements" really have to be in place for 12 weeks. This is why the Body-for-Life program is a 12 week endeavor. Anything less reduces the chances of long-term success. Any trainer can put you through a 30 minute workout that will make you tired, short of breath and sweaty, but in the end, how many of the variables in the "Measureable Progress" section are fulfilled? My clients see significant improvements in all of them. I can only offer the money back guarantee with a full commitment because I know this is what it takes to see solid results long-term. Q. Can I try your training without the guarantee? Sure, the guarantee is only an option for clients that have reservations about the financial commitment relative to a 3-day a week program, its outcome, and the Hilliard Metro Fitness Facility. The "Guarantee" gives them an "out" in 90 days if they find the program and facility is not for them. However, regular gym membership rates will apply with all other training options (i.e., once or twice a week). Q. What happens if I just don't like the program or you as a trainer after the first few weeks? We discuss the issue to make sure there are no misperceptions or assumptions, and if not, you simply stop training. There is no refund at this point and the gym membership expires in 90 days. This is why I like to meet and talk to my potential clients ahead of time. I also encourage them to talk to my regular clients via email or in person as well prior to starting. You'll either like me or you won't. However, to be perfectly honest, some clients initially find me too serious and clinical in nature but once they get to know me and see the results, they find I'm very different than I first appear. Remember, I have a Ph.D from The Ohio State University, my training and background is different than most personal trainers and I'm a very detail oriented person. I tend to see problems such as muscle imbalances and form issues that most trainers overlook and I'm very persistent in trying to correct them to avoid injury and other physical problems. Q. What happens if I (the trainer) think this program is not for you several weeks in? We terminate the training and I will refund 50% of the training fees to date. The membership however cannot be refunded and will be in effect for 90 days. Remember, our normal by-the-month rates are essentially the same as this 3-month special. This situation is rare with me and has only occurred twice in the past several years.
