Baseline Fitness Challenge 

April 11th marked the start of our first Baseline Fitness Challenge.  Several of our clients wanted to kick start the summer by taking things up a notch.  We agreed to give as much support as possible to make it happen.  Participants agreed to do their Bod Pod assessment every two weeks for the duration of the 12 week challenge.  Knowing they had to face the Bod Pod for the facts made a tremendous difference.  They also gave me weekly feedback to questions about their diet and exercise the previous week.  rob2.jpg (70353 bytes)

 

The winner of the challenge was Rob Sommer.  Rob started out in good shape, but ended up in incredible shape! He actually gained lean mass as he lost 16.1 lbs. of body fat!  Read his story and see more pictures here.

In an extremely close second is Carole.  Carole just had her 40th birthday and is a wife and mother of four very active young children!  She actually tied for first with the number of fat pounds lost, reaching 16.1!

Julie came to train with Eve Ann after tearing her PCL.  The time away from her competitive figure skating left her with some extra weight she wanted to lose.  Taking the challenge and receiving great results, Julie lost 9 lbs of fat and gained 2.5 lbs of lean mass.

Jennifer wanted to lose body fat, but at 120 lbs didn't really have much 'weight' to lose.  Fat loss and lean gain was the goal.  Jennifer had a total of 6.3 lbs of fat loss and 2 lbs of lean gain.  Great job Jennifer!

 

Bruce lost 12 lbs of fat and gained 11 lbs of lean in the first 6 weeks!

One competitor, Amber, had a goal of improving VO2 (as she is already a lean machine) however, we put her challenge on hold when we found out she's expecting!  Congrats, Amber and Andrew!

All of our competitors made improvements to both body composition and endurance.  They are more aware of activity levels and food intake as a result.
