Woody and the Wake Up Call on 92.3 WCOLWeekdays 5:30 AM - 10:00 AM The 'Biggest Couple Loser' Challenge
The contest ran from January 16th through February 6th. Official weigh in's were on Monday mornings during the show. We did beginning testing at Baseline, including VO2 testing. With this, the couples now know what heart rate they individually need to maintain while exercising to burn the most fat. Most were surprised that they had to keep their heart rate much lower than they had thought. We then provided them all with heart rate monitors to track it. The couples trained with Eve Ann 3 times a week and did cardio with their heart rate monitors on their own everyday. We talked about making the best food choices, drinking plenty of water and how eating more frequently will speed up the metabolism. Wow, what a great job they did!
Here are the results by couple: In 1st place - The Roush's Week one Therese lost 1.2 lbs of body fat and her husband Don lost an incredible 6.4 lbs for a total 7.6 lbs the first week. Week two Therese lost 2.7 lbs of body fat bringing her cumulative total to 3.9 lbs. Her husband Don lost 4.9 lbs of body fat bringing his cumulative total to 11.3 lbs. Together they have a combined total of 7.6 lbs again the second week and 15.2 lbs of fat lost so far. Third and final week Therese lost 7.4 lbs of fat bringing her challenge total to 11.3 lbs of fat lost. Her husband Don lost 10.8 lbs of fat for an unbelievable total of 22.1 lbs of fat lost during the three weeks. Together they have a combined total of 18.2 lbs of fat this week and 33.4 lbs of fat lost for the three week challenge.
In 2nd place - The Hoffine's Week one Annie lost 5.2 lbs of body fat and her husband Matt lost 3.6 lbs of body fat for a combined total of 8.8 lbs the first week. Week two Annie lost 1 lbs of body fat bringing her cumulative total to 6.2 lbs. Her husband Matt lost 4.4 lbs of body fat bringing his cumulative total to 8 lbs. Together they have a combined total of 5.4 lbs the second week and 14.2 lbs of fat lost so far. Third and final week Annie lost 1.9 lbs of fat bringing her challenge total to 8.1 lbs of fat lost. Her husband Matt lost 3.5 lbs of fat for a total of 11.5 lbs of fat lost. Together they have a combined total of 5.4 lbs of fat this week and 19.6 lbs of fat lost for the three week challenge. In a *very* close 3rd - The Mehl's Week one Robin lost 1.7 lbs of body fat and her husband Mark lost 4.2 lbs for a total 5.9 lbs the first week. Week two Robin lost 5.2 lbs of body fat bringing her cumulative total to 6.9 lbs. Her husband Mark lost 2.4 lbs of body fat bringing his cumulative total to 6.6 lbs. Together they have a combined total of 7.6 lbs the second week and 13.5 lbs of fat lost so far. Third and final week Robin lost 1.5 lbs of fat bringing her challenge total to 8.4 lbs of fat lost. Her husband Mark lost 5.3 lbs of fat for a total of 11.9 lbs of fat lost. Together they have a combined total of 6.8 lbs of fat this week and 20.3 lbs of fat lost for the three week challenge. Great job to all! This group lost a cumulative total of 83.68 pounds of weight with 73.3 lbs of it coming straight from fat in just three weeks.
